How to go on maternity leave when you’re a freelancer

Freelance life is the best. I may be biased, but it’s definitely enabled me to have a richer family life, a more balanced view of the future and it’s put work into perspective. I’d much rather be able to take my two year-old son to his swimming lesson at 9.30am on a Tuesday and then work for an extra hour in the evening at home, than work overtime for an employer in an office in the city.
